The Compassion Project is a first-of-its-kind national initiative to provide compassion education to elementary school students across the US.

Our Mission is Simple: To ensure that every primary school student in the US understands what compassion is and how to practice it.

Alex Trebek: Why Compassion Education Matters

We have been fortunate to collaborate with the legendary Alex Trebek and his wife Jean to bring The Compassion Project to elementary schools across the US. On one of Alex’s final days in the Jeopardy studio before he passed away on November 8, he filmed this message to inspire parents, teachers and students.

Why compassion education?

“In times like these, I feel the need to spread kindness, patience, and compassion. Our students are in a unique position to do the same in their homes and in their neighborhoods. EVERFI’s The Compassion Project was a great program my students were using before this pandemic happened, and I can see the benefits continuing outside the four walls of our classroom.”
